Godly Play Book Group – Children’s Spirituality: What it is and Why it Matters
Our ‘dark nights’ Book Group will be reading, wondering about and discussing “Children’s Spirituality: What it is and Why it Matters”, by Dr Rebecca Nye.
Even if you have already read this a few times, there is always something new … we are amazed by the new insights we get from discussing these books.
Each time we meet, we will read and discuss a chapter. This Book Group is hosted by Alex, on behalf of Godly Play Magyarország (Hungary).
Our Book Group is on Zoom and will meet on six times, on Wednesday evenings, starting on the 28 October and finishing on the 9 December. We meet between 8pm and 9pm.
The dates are:
- 28 October – Chapter 1 – Children’s Spirituality: What is it?
- 11 November – Chapter 2 – Children’s Spirituality: How Important is it?
- 18 November – Chapter 3 – Encountering Children’s Spirituality
- 25 November – Chapter 4 – Nurturing Children’s Spirituality 1: Some General Principles
- 2 December* – Chapters 5 – Nurturing Children’s Spirituality 2: Spiritual Practices
- 9 December – Chapters 6 – Christian Thought and Imagery About Children & Frequently Asked Questions
* Alex has double booked herself that evening, so we will have a chat together on when to reschedule.
