Our Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training takes an immersive, hands-on approach, helping participants to understand the process and the theory of Godly Play.
We do this through storytelling, reflection, and practice. Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is a mixture of trainer led and participant storytelling sessions – so you have the opportunity to tell a story as part of the course and, see and wonder about 14 other stories.
This is a non-residential course. Each day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 6:30pm on Thursday and Friday and 5pm on Saturday.
The course fee is £315. The fee includes training, handbook, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments.
We are offering early bird (10%) discount for bookings made before 26th August 2026, and second mouse* (5%) discount for bookings made between then and 9th September.
Godly Play Trainers and core training – Storyteller and Door Person – are accredited by the Godly Play Foundation, and meet the standards set out by the Godly Play International Council.
The venue for this course is the Godly Play room in Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Queen’s Terrace, St Andrews KY16 9QF.

Please note that the Godly Play room in Saint Andrews Episcopal Church is only accessible via a flight of stairs. If you would prefer a course at a more accessible venue, there will be one in early 2027.
