Scottish Stories

The stories of St Kentigern, also known as St Mungo, Mary Slessor and Eric Liddell have been written to supplement the collection of stories about the saints found in The Complete Guide to Godly Play, Volume 7.

Each of their stories have spoken to us and, more importantly, to the children who sit in our circles.

Neither Mary Slessor or Eric Liddell are saints in the normal meaning of the word, as neither have been canonised, but both serve as examples of Christian people who inspire us all to honour God and respect the dignity of every human being.

These additional stories of Scottish saints are written in the style of Godly Play®.

These stories are still on their journey. It takes a long time. It might even be that a Godly Play story is always on its journey.
