Making Materials Day – Edinburgh – 23 August

At a Making Materials Day we supply quality, basic raw materials (plywood tiles, foamcore, wool for felting) and the tools (glue, sandpaper, craft knives and paint) so that you can make your own Godly Play storytelling objects. All you need to do is put them together. And we'll have experienced crafters and Godly Play storytellers on hand to advise and help. Making Materials Days are busy, with people making different things. There is usually lots of Godly Play chat and networking and not nearly enough coffee drinking. Cost - £15, plus the cost of any materials you make. Tea and coffee are included, but please bring your own lunch. Book here ... Discovery Day – Edinburgh – 20 September

Discovery Days are a great way to experience a little bit of Godly Play and to find out more. We always start with a full Godly Play Session. There is plenty of time for questions, to look at the resources and to wonder about the different types of Godly Play stories. This Discovery Day will be held at the Godly Play Scotland centre, in the basement of Duddingston Kirk's Manse*, Edinburgh. The day starts at 10am and will finish by 4pm. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided, but please bring your own lunch. Storyteller and Door Person Training – Edinburgh – October 2025

Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training Godly Play Scotland Centre, Duddingston Kirk Manse, Edinburgh Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th October 2025 Our Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training takes an immersive, hands-on approach, helping participants to understand the process and the theory of Godly Play. We do this through storytelling, reflection, and practice. Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is a mixture of trainer led and participant storytelling sessions - so you have the opportunity to tell a story as part of the course and, see and wonder about 14 other stories. This is a non-residential course. Each day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 6:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday and 5pm on Friday. The course fee is £315. The fee includes training, handbook, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments. We are offering early bird (10%) discount for bookings made before 26th August 2025, and second mouse* (5%) discount for bookings made between then and 9th September. Godly Play Circle – St Andrews – 1st March 1pm

Godly Play Circles are a chance to catch up with other Godly Players, maybe to borrow some story materials, eat some cake, and definitely listen to and wonder about a story together. Our story for this circle will be from the collection of German Gott im Spiel Jesus stories, which have been written in the style of Godly Play and translated by Godly Play Scotland. Everyone is welcome, whether you have been trained in Godly Play or you are new to it and wondering what it's all about. There's no need to book and there's no charge....
