Making Materials Day – Edinburgh – 23 August

At a Making Materials Day we supply quality, basic raw materials (plywood tiles, foamcore, wool for felting) and the tools (glue, sandpaper, craft knives and paint) so that you can make your own Godly Play storytelling objects. All you need to do is put them together. And we'll have experienced crafters and Godly Play storytellers on hand to advise and help. Making Materials Days are busy, with people making different things. There is usually lots of Godly Play chat and networking and not nearly enough coffee drinking. Cost - £15, plus the cost of any materials you make. Tea and coffee are included, but please bring your own lunch. Book here ... Godly Play Accredited Storyteller & Door Person Training – Spring Saturdays 2024

This Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training Course runs over four Saturdays in the Spring and early Summer of 2024. 6th April 4th May 1st June We'll arrange the fourth Saturday when we meet on the 6th April. Each day starts at 9:30am and finishes by 4:30pm. The venue is the Godly Play Room at Cramond Kirk Halls, part of Edinburgh Northwest Kirk. The Godly Play Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is designed to give people a better understanding of both the theory and practice of Godly Play. The course explores each of the main types of story – sacred, parables and liturgy.  We concentrate on the core stories that people usually tell at the beginning of their Godly Play journey.  Alongside the stories and wondering, are workshops that explore the theology and theory behind Godly Play.
