Godly Play Book Group – Children’s Spirituality

Our 2025 Book Group is reading and exploring Dr Rebecca Nye's Children’s Spirituality: What it is and Why it Matters. This Book Group is hosted by Michelle and Jessica. Each week we will read and discuss a chapter (or maybe two). Our Book Group is on Zoom. Over six weeks, starting on Wednesday 30 April. We meet between 8pm and 9pm. The dates are: 30 April - Children's Spirituality: what is it? 7 May - Children's Spirituality: how important is it? 13 May - Encountering children's spirituality 21 May - Nurturing children's spirituality 1 28 May - Nurturing children's spirituality 2 04 June - Christian thought and imagery about children and the Frequently Asked Questions If you don’t have a copy of the book, don’t let that stop you … we have some to lend out. Discovery Day – St Andrews – 1 February

Discovery Days are a great way to find out about Godly Play and to experience it for yourself. This Discovery Day will be held at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in St Andrews. The day starts at 10am and will finish by 4pm. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided, but please bring your own lunch. The cost of the day is £15 and you can book here ......

Godly Play for Church of Scotland Probationers

The day is aimed at recently ordained ministers, probationers and candidates in the Church of Scotland. Alongside exploring Godly Play, Michelle and Jessica will share a workshop on Childhood Spirituality. This Godly Play Day will be held at the Godly Play Scotland Centre, in the basement of Duddingston Kirk Manse. The day starts at 10am and will finish by 4pm. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided, but please bring your own lunch. The cost of the day is £15 and you can book here ... We have held these days for several denominations, but we don't usually advertise them ... then we thought "How do people know that we do that?" So, if you would like a Godly Play Day - some discovery and with a workshop on childhood spirituality for your ministry trainees, then please let us know....

Circle – Edinburgh – 18th January 2025

Godly Play Circles are a chance to catch up, maybe borrow some story materials, eat some cake and, of course, listen to and wonder about a story together. Our story for this circle will be from the collection of Gott im Spiel Jesus Stories - written in the style of Godly Play. Everyone is welcome, whether you have been trained in Godly Play or you are new to it and wondering what it is. There is no need to book and there's no charge....
