Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training Godly Play Scotland Centre, Duddingston Kirk Manse, Edinburgh Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th October 2025 Our Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training takes an immersive, hands-on approach, helping participants to understand the process and the theory of Godly Play. We do this through storytelling, reflection, and practice. Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is a mixture of trainer led and participant storytelling sessions - so you have the opportunity to tell a story as part of the course and, see and wonder about 14 other stories. This is a non-residential course. Each day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 6:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday and 5pm on Friday. The course fee is £315. The fee includes training, handbook, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments. We are offering early bird (10%) discount for bookings made before 26th August 2025, and second mouse* (5%) discount for bookings made between then and 9th September. The Story of Saint Kentigern, who was also known as Mungo

The city of Glasgow is celebrating it's 850th birthday this year. But Glasgow's roots go back even farther than it becoming a Burgh in 1175.  In the late 6th Century, a Christian community began to gather around the monastic cell build for St Mungo by King Rhiderch Hael.  Mungo called them his 'dear family' - clas-gu - and so the city of Glasgow, with Mungo and his mother as patron saints, was born. To help us celebrate, we have a story in the style of Godly Play for Saint Mungo, who is also know as Saint Kentigern. You can find the story here ......

Our story for this circle will be from the collection of German Gott im Spiel Jesus stories, which have been written in the style of Godly Play and translated by Godly Play Scotland.
