Making Materials Day – Edinburgh – 28 February
At a Making Materials Day we supply quality, basic raw materials (plywood tiles, foamcore, wool for felting) and the tools (glue, sandpaper, craft knives and paint) so that you can make your own Godly Play storytelling objects. All you need to do is put them together. And we'll have experienced crafters and Godly Play storytellers on hand to advise and help.
Making Materials Days are busy, with people making different things. There is usually lots of Godly Play chat and networking and not nearly enough coffee drinking.
Cost - £15, plus the cost of any materials you make. Tea and coffee are included, but please bring your own lunch.

Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training
Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, St Andrews
Tuesday 13th, Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th October 2026
Our Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training takes an immersive, hands-on approach, helping participants to understand the process and the theory of Godly Play.
We do this through storytelling, reflection, and practice. Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is a mixture of trainer led and participant storytelling sessions - so you have the opportunity to tell a story as part of the course and, see and wonder about 14 other stories.
This is a non-residential course. Each day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 6:30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 5pm on Thursday.
The course fee is £315. The fee includes training, handbook, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments.
We are offering early bird (10%) discount for bookings made before 26th August 2026, and second mouse* (5%) discount for bookings made between then and 14th September.

Circle – Edinburgh – 7 February
Godly Play Circles are a chance to catch up, maybe borrow some story materials, eat some cake and, of course, listen to and wonder about a story together.

Everyone is welcome, whether you have been trained in Godly Play or you are new to it and wondering what it is.
There is no need to book and there's no charge....
Godly Play European Conference 2026 – “… came so close …”
„…came so close…”
heights and depths through Godly Play
Sometimes God comes close to us in heights, other times in depths. Sometimes we feel high because we feel close to God, other times we find God’s presence at the deepest point of our lives. Sometimes digging deep doesn’t help, other times our own height obscures God’s closeness from us.
Be that as it may: neither height nor depth will separate us from the love of God, from the closeness of God.
The love of God, that may come to us through God’s stories, through silence, through a question or a response, or through a gesture. We can also experience it by getting closer to other people.
Let’s come close to each other in this conference, since God came so close to us!
