SUMMARY:Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training - Duddingston - 8th-10th September
DESCRIPTION:This is a weekend\, non-residential course. It starts at 1pm on Friday 8th September and finishes at 5pm on Sunday 10th September. \nThe venue is the Godly Play Scotland Centre in Duddingston Kirk Manse. \nThe Godly Play Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is designed to give people a better understanding of both the theory and practice of Godly Play. \nThe course explores each of the main types of story – sacred\, parables and liturgy.  We concentrate on the core stories that people usually tell at the beginning of their Godly Play journey.  Alongside the stories and wondering\, are workshops that explore the theology and theory behind Godly Play. \nThere is a mixture of trainer led and participant storytelling sessions – so you have the opportunity to tell a story as part of the course and see and wonder about 14 other stories. \nGodly Play Storyteller and Door Person training courses fit a lot in\, so the days are long. This is especially true of this course\, as it is over a weekend. DESCRIPTION:We are sorry\, but due to some unforseen circumstances\, we have to cancel this Making Materials day. We will re-schedule it as soon as we can. \n  \nSome of the Godly Play materials you have to buy\, others you can borrow and the rest you can make … Making Materials Days are all about making your own materials. \nWe’ll supply quality\, basic\, raw materials (plywood tiles\, foamcore\, wool for felting) and the tools (glue\, sandpaper\, craft knives\, paint) you need to use to allow you to make your own Godly Play storytelling objects. There will be experienced crafters and makers available to advise and help. \nMaking Materials Days are pretty busy\, with people making different things\, there is usually lots of Godly Play chat and networking and not nearly enough coffee drinking. \nCost – £12\, plus the cost of any materials you make.  Tea and coffee are included\, but please bring your own lunch. \n  \nBooking is essential\, so we can make sure that we have all the bits and pieces we need for you to make your materials.
