DESCRIPTION:Our ‘dark nights’ Book Group will be reading\, wondering about and discussing “Children’s Spirituality: What it is and Why it Matters”\, by Dr Rebecca Nye. \nEven if you have already read this a few times\, there is always something new … we are amazed by the new insights we get from discussing these books. \nEach time we meet\, we will read and discuss a chapter. This Book Group is hosted by Alex\, on behalf of Godly Play Magyarország (Hungary). \nOur Book Group is on Zoom and will meet on six times\, on Wednesday evenings\, starting on the 28 October and finishing on the 9 December.  We meet between 8pm and 9pm. \nThe dates are: \n\n28 October – Chapter 1 – Children’s Spirituality: What is it?\n11 November – Chapter 2 – Children’s Spirituality: How Important is it?\n18 November – Chapter 3 – Encountering Children’s Spirituality\n25 November – Chapter 4 – Nurturing Children’s Spirituality 1: Some General Principles\n2 December* – Chapters 5 – Nurturing Children’s Spirituality 2: Spiritual Practices\n9 December – Chapters 6 – Christian Thought and Imagery About Children & Frequently Asked Questions\n\n* Alex has double booked herself that evening\, so we will have a chat together on when to reschedule. \nIf you don’t have a copy of the book\, don’t let that stop you … we have some to lend out. \nSign me up for the Book Group … \nPlease note\, Godly Play Hungary are managing the signups.

DESCRIPTION:Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training \nSaint Andrew’s Episcopal Church\, St Andrews \nTuesday 17th\, Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th November 2026 \nOur Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training takes an immersive\, hands-on approach\, helping participants to understand the process and the theory of Godly Play. \nWe do this through storytelling\, reflection\, and practice. Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is a mixture of trainer led and participant storytelling sessions – so you have the opportunity to tell a story as part of the course and\, see and wonder about 14 other stories. \nThis is a non-residential course. Each day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 6:30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday\, and 5pm on Thursday. \nThe course fee is £315. The fee includes training\, handbook\, lunch\, morning and afternoon refreshments. \nWe are offering early bird (10%) discount for bookings made before 21st September 2026\, and second mouse* (5%) discount for bookings made between then and 19th October. \nGodly Play Trainers and core training – Storyteller and Door Person – are accredited by the Godly Play Foundation\, and meet the standards set out by the Godly Play International Council. The trainers for this course are Michelle Brown and Jessica Lang. \nThe venue is the Godly Play room in Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church\, Queen’s Terrace\, St Andrews KY16 9QF. \nYou can book here … \nPlease note that the Godly Play room in Saint Andrews Episcopal Church is only accessible via a flight of stairs.
