DESCRIPTION:Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training \nGodly Play Scotland Centre\, Duddingston Kirk Manse\, Edinburgh \nWednesday 22nd\, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th October 2025 \nOur Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training takes an immersive\, hands-on approach\, helping participants to understand the process and the theory of Godly Play. \nWe do this through storytelling\, reflection\, and practice. Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is a mixture of trainer led and participant storytelling sessions – so you have the opportunity to tell a story as part of the course and\, see and wonder about 14 other stories. \nThis is a non-residential course. Each day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 6:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday and 5pm on Friday. \nThe course fee is £315. It starts at 1pm on Friday 21st March and finishes at 5pm on Sunday 23rd March. \nThe venue is the Godly Play Scotland Centre in Duddingston Kirk Manse. \nThe Godly Play Storyteller and Door Person Accredited Training is designed to give people a better understanding of both the theory and practice of Godly Play. \nThe course explores each of the main types of story – sacred\, parables and liturgy.  We concentrate on the core stories that people usually tell at the beginning of their Godly Play journey.  Alongside the stories and wondering\, are workshops that explore the theology and theory behind Godly Play. \nThere is a mixture of trainer led and participant storytelling sessions – so you have the opportunity to tell a story as part of the course and see and wonder about 14 other stories. \nGodly Play Storyteller and Door Person training courses fit a lot in\, so the days are long. This is especially true of this course\, as it is over a weekend.
