Accredited Training Courses
If you are planning on using Godly Play in your church or school programming, we offer accredited training courses designed to give an excellent understanding of the theory and practice of Godly Play.
We offer both multi-day residential and single day courses. Each course will involve a mixture of trainer-led seminars, workshops and will allow you to fully participate in Godly Play storytelling.
Godly Play Network Meetings - we used to call them Circles - are informal events, usually in the evening or a Saturday morning, where people meet to hear a story, do some wondering and chat about Godly Play.
They open to everyone, from the seasoned Godly Player who wants to hear a story and do some wondering to the complete novice, who just wants to find out what Godly Play is all about.
There is no charge for these events and you don't need to register, just come along.
Making Materials Days
Some of the Godly Play materials you have to buy, others you can borrow and the rest you can make. Materials Days are all about making your own materials.
These are run on a non-profit basis, supplying you with quality basic materials that allow you to build up your own collection of Godly Play stories.
Experience a full Godly Play session, find out a little more about Godly Play and ask questions.
A full day includes:
- A full Godly Play session
- Finding out about the different stories and experiencing these being told by different Godly Play Teachers
- Finding out what you need to tell the stories and learning how to get started
If you would like us to come to your church or organisation for a Discovery Day, please ask. We are happy to travel and can tailor these events to suit your needs.
We can also offer ways to explore Godly Play and how we can use it in a little more depth. These "Going Deeper" days are designed for people with some experience of Godly Play.
Previous areas of focus have been on ...
- Advent and the Christmas Stories
- Story telling
- Alternative liturgical materials
